We breed, buy and sell exclusively birds bred in captivity.

With time we gained experience and learned more and more. Nature itself implies an ever ongoing process of learning, with knowledge came strength and success.

We are proud and satisfied with our staff, ranging from technicians to veterinarians to the people who handle our birds on a day to day basis. We select our co-workers carefully for not everyone has a gentle hand nor good intend with nature or understands our intentionally high set values.

Right from the beginning we bought only young birds and it took several years until they were adults that could be paired and be ready for reproduction. The first 4 years we had no eggs, or very seldom if any. But in the last years the rate of successful reproduction and hatching has raised. However not all of our birds are sexually active.

Up until today we have successfully bred about 100 bird babies. Our first specimens were several Congo African Grey Parrots (Psittacus erithacus erithacus) then Yellow-cheeked Amazon (Amazona autumnalis autumnalis) and Blue-fronted Amazon (Amazona aestiva). This year Blue & Gold Macaw (Ara ararauna) and after 3 years also our Major Mitchell's Cockatoo (Lophochroa leadbeateri) finally had fertile eggs.

For incubators we rely heavily on german technology from Grumbach Brutgeräte GmbH and our Buddy digital egg monitors are from the british Avitronics (Avian Biotech International UK), all high quality machines.

Hatching time!

Some of the newly hatched birds we leave with their biological parents which take the best possible care of their offspring. They keep turning the eggs in their nest and keep them warm. But for some eggs it is safer if we take care of them until they hatch, they spend their first weeks in an incubator. These birds are then hand fed, a time consuming task for they require feeding every 2 hours, day and night in other words they need care 24 hours a day. Here again we use the best possible quality product, special parrot foods from Kaytee ® and ZuPreem ®.

When they are 3 weeks old they obtain their identification ring in the presence of the delegate from the District Office of Environment which is the local authority from the Ministry of Environment (Ministerstvo životného prostredia SR), the main Slovak Authority for CITES. For birds in the CITES I classification they also issue the corresponding papers. This goes hand in hand with veterinary control. All other additional certificates (DNA, sex) are done only when required.
